Hoffmaster Group, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Technician for our Foodservice Division, located in Oshkosh, WI. As the Quality Assurance Technician you will be key in supporting the Hoffmaster Group, Inc. efforts to build on and improve its current level of quality in the market place. Contributing to the joint venture of uniformly defining and implementing key manufacturing processes, product standards and product test procedures will be an important part of this role. It will be critical to the succession of this role, that you enjoy supporting product quality and process improvement initiatives. You will also support the Quality Assurance Manager in preparation for 3rd party audits and certifications as well as helping to identify and test our products against known industry or customer product standards.
As a Quality Assurance Technician you will…
Support the Quality Assurance Manager on the development and enforcement of raw material standards and receiving inspection and develop a process to review and conduct vendor audits and certification.
Be responsible for tracking and entering reject raw material information as well as provide the Quality Engineer and Procurement with reject information.
Help develop testing and calibration systems to maintain accurate assessment of product quality characteristics.
Work with plant personnel in setting up trials and report evaluations of new materials, processes and procedures.
Work with the Quality Assurance Manager in establishing quality standards for all products and product attributes as well as investigate to resolve any complaints regarding quality and service.
Assist with the development of common quality metrics, capture data and provide information by value stream.
Be a key contributor in the preparation for third party audits.
Engage in inspection and testing activities to ensure raw materials and products are meeting specified requirements.

Attained a High School Diploma or equivalent
Have 2 years in related field with a strong commitment to quality
Are experienced in the paper or film converting or printing industry is a plus
Know and understand good active listening skills and follow up skills
Enjoy communicating with both internal and external customers and can do this in a clear and concise way both verbally and in writing
Use formal problem solving approaches, display good judgement and professionalism
Demonstrate good decision making skills
Act independently and are self-directed
Can recognize waste and size up opportunities for improvement in a lean manufacturing environment
