Our family-owned company has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Tech with an emphasis on plastic injection molding lines based out of our Sumner, Washington production facility. Successful candidates will bring a strong technical understanding of general industrial machine maintenance with strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our tooling, production and maintenance teams to constructively solve problems and enhance the plant’s performance. Qualified candidates will have:
Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and correct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and process problems associated with production equipment to ensure proper operation.
Ability to assemble, disassemble, and modify production lines or support equipment as required for repairs, upgrades and installations.
Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment and necessary preventative maintenance routines.
Ability to work with contractors to repair, install, remove, and upgrade equipment.
Should be able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Working knowledge of tower and chiller water systems.
Previous injection molding machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and experience with Husky machines is a plus.
Passion for working safely.
Ability to work a day shift (6:00 am – 3:00 pm), with occasional overtime or flexible shifts to provide maintenance coverage.
Ability to perform a job that requires lifting up to 50 lbs frequently, and the ability to Sit 15%; Stand 20%; Walk 15%; squat 5%; bend 10%; 90 degree twist 5%; crawl 5%; kneel 5%; drive 5%; climb 5%; reach above shoulders 5%.
