New England Linen Supply is a major supplier of linen and uniform rental services to better restaurants and dining facilities. Over the last few years, the company has grown organically and through acquisition and has further growth opportunities in all of its current markets. We are currently looking for an Account Manager will deliver a high standard of customer service for our Hospitality and corporate customers, maintain account retention and renewals, and build revenue though adding on goods and services to existing accounts. A key aspect of this position is building and maintaining strategic relationships with Operations, Linen, and other departmental staff and cross-functional team participation.
Establish and maintain outstanding customer service within assigned geographic area.
Proactive follow up on account in jeopardy and lost account and visiting customers on a regular visitation schedule.
Identify growth areas and the ability to retain district customers.
Make direct service calls and resolve service concerns expeditiously.
Maintain close coordination with production department regarding service and customer issues.
Performa routes rides weekly.
Taking regular linen and garment inventories.
Help to educate Customers on proper ordering on time, correct amounts, seasonality ordering
Help to keep customers billing correct by quarterly audits.
Develop and maintain Customer Relationships.
Work on getting referrals for obtaining new business and add on business to existing accounts.
Maintain a current prospect list
Complete Customer visitation reports at each visit.
The Customer Relationship Manager will spend the majority of his/her time traveling to customer locations, occasionally requiring overnight stays. Distance driving is expected. Employees maintain their own cell phones and vehicles, and are responsible for creating and submitting expense reports each week for expenditures made during travel.
Knowledge & Skills: Solid computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with databases a plus. Strong verbal and written English communication skills along with solid customer relation skills required. Proven skills and abilities in leadership, coaching, decision-making required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, analyze data and make recommendations, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects.
Certifications & Licenses:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required at all times.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, associates will be required to stand, sit and/or walk up and down stairs/steps repeatedly throughout most of the workday. Frequent use of a computer may be required to generate reports and/or update account information.
While performing the duties of this position, the use of a computer is required for communications and writing report/correspondence. When on a route, the incumbent is subject to the outside environment with possible exposure to extreme temperatures (heat, cold, humidity, etc) and precipitation, will safely operate a delivery vehicle and adhere to all laws and the rules of the road. Normal lifting of up to 75 pounds is possible. Mobility is necessary in order to perform the service function. Manual dexterity needed to operate a personal data assistant (PDA). The noise level is usually moderate or what could be expected when operating a vehicle on the open road. Local area travel is required. Position requires working the necessary amount of hours needed to complete all position-related tasks or assignments on a timely basis.
