The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Engineer will….
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Lead various technical tasks associated with molding machines, ancillary equipment, tooling, vision systems and measurement equipment, providing tactical support for day-to-day manufacturing operations
Identify, initiate, and lead projects to improve: process safety, quality, service, cost, capacity, and productivity through Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Work closely with division personnel to validate new processes with high process capability
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve and improve equipment downtime issues
Create and update standard work, operating procedures, and test methods
Respond to quality issues and audit findings with thorough root cause analysis and highly effective corrective actions
Willingness to be on-call
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
Minimum 3 years of injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills
Experience with process validation and documentation
Hands on approach with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, analytical and organizational skills to manage different priorities
Self-directed mindset that leads with high energy and works with minimal supervision or guidance
Training and experience in Lean methodology, statistics, SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma
The ability to perform root cause analysis and apply system thinking in problem solving
Ability to motivate others by training, guiding, coaching, and achieving results through team participation and collaboration
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible to changes; responds with a sense of urgency
Personal computer proficiency
Location: Columbia, MO
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Is authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
