The NPI Project Engineer will be based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. In this position, you will be responsible for working with a team of cross functional experts in the delivery of customer focused products and services. You will support the development and implementation of project deliverables and assist engineering team with technical challenges, organization, planning, scheduling and budgets.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Provide technical support as needed throughout projects.
Demonstrate ability to take on engineering projects and follow them through to completion on schedule and within budget.
Assist in tracking relevant metrics and drive action items based on results.
Provide support, knowledge and expertise in high volume manufacturing principles.
Participate as needed in interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of all commitments made relative to product development timelines, delivery, quality and the required business metrics.
Assist in the coordination of product life cycle activities as needed throughout the project.
Monitor and track that project and program deliverables are met.
Be responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations with both new and existing customers.
Knowledgeable in injection molding operations, mold and assembly automation validation procedures, and NPI processes.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
2 to 5 years’ experience in Project Management, injection molding operations and/or high-volume manufacturing.
Knowledgeable in manufacturing methods and capabilities, able to apply this knowledge to assure comprehensive management of customer supply chain strategy and manufacturing.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with spreadsheet models, databases and look-up formulations.
Automation and Tooling Experience.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
Experience with CAD.
Knowledgeable in manufacturing techniques, injection molding, product engineering and high-volume manufacturing.
Prior experience working in an engineering department.
