Fire Protection Water-Based (formerly Automatic Sprinkler System)
Allied Fire Protection, Inc, a leading fire protection contractor has an immediate opportunity available for a Fire Sprinkler Designer in Raleigh, NC.
Responsibilities include designing water based automatic fire sprinkler systems to contract specifications, NFPA standards and local codes, analysis of blueprints, site visits/surveys, communication with field staff and jurisdiction personnel, working with our Senior Project Manager and sales staff, and stock listing the materials for systems using HydraCAD.
The qualifications for the Fire Sprinkler Designer position include:
Understanding of NFPA and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction reqirements
High School diploma/GED required
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, MS Word and Excel
Proficient in HydraCAD, AutoCAD, Navisworks/BIM and other fire protection design software
NICET certification preferred, but not required as training and professional development are provided by Allied Fire Protection, Inc.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and spatial orientation
Excellent organizations and communication skills with attention to detail
Must be able to pass our company required background checks and a drug screen
