ASI Drives is looking for an Incoming Inspector & Gage Control Technician to assist our Quality Control Department. This person will:
Create and execute inspection plans including incoming material, machined parts, in-process and final inspection.
Maintain all inspection records.
Complete inspections within a timely manner within a production environment.
Program and measure complex parts on a CMM.
Perform calibration on various gages and/or schedule external calibration and maintains records in accordance to ISO 90001 requirements.
Assist quality department in determining suitability and availability of gage systems for production use.
Perform electrical testing of DC motors.
Identify nonconforming material and originate non conformance reports resulting from internal operations or vendor supplied materials.
Actively participate in quality meetings.
Be a team player in troubleshooting production problems related to quality issues.
Determine best use of inspection equipment and gages to measure product quickly and accurately.
Maintain orderly and neat work environment and handles/stores inspection equipment in a manner that is suitable for the equipment.
Have the ability to train personnel on proper measurement methods.
Participate in assembly line process and product audits.
Report to the Quality Manager.
CMM programming experience of a minimum of 3 years is required
Experience with MCOSMOS software a plus
GD&T print reading required
Experience with machined products required
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and production processes
Experience with DC motors and gears a plus
