Geotechnical Project Engineer
Materials Testing Consultants
In this position you will be involved with management of geotechnical engineering project and explorations, which consists of performing boring layouts, clearing utilities, scheduling and supervising drill crews, performing geophysical surveys, classifying soils, assigning lab testing and preparing geotechnical reports. There will be a wide variety of projects with focus on the commercial development, education, healthcare,energy and transportation sectors. The position will also include field activities including professional observations and engineering recommendations related to development and construction projects, evaluation of foundation bearing materials and on-site consulting for general site development difficulties. There may also be involvement with construction materials testing projects. Additional responsibilities include business development and preparing proposals.

BSCE required; MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred. State of Michigan P.E. license. Strong project management skills. 5 to 10 years geotechnical engineering experience. Experience in overseeing and managing geotechnical and construction materials testing projects. Foundation analysis. Settlement analysis. Earth retention analysis. Pavement analysis. SLOPE W, SLIDE. |
