Southern Illinois University Carbondale has a continuing need for Assistant Lecturers/Clinical Assistant Professors to teach in the Industrial Management and Applied Engineering program at: Dover Air Force Base, DE; NAVSUPPACT Mid-South Memphis, TN; Scott Air Force Base, IL; Little Rock Air Force Base, AR; as well as at Peoria, Champaign, Joliet, Grayslake, and Chicago, IL. Applicants may be subject to background check for military site access. These positions are term and non-tenure track. Application deadline: August 31, 2018 or until filled. Requirements are a master’s degree with at least one industry related degree (such as industrial technology, engineering management, industrial engineering) and at least five (5) years industrial experience or comparable teaching experience for the specific course being hired to teach. A PhD is preferred. Appointment will be at rank of Assistant Professor of Practice/Clinical Assistant Professor if a doctoral degree is held.

About Southern Illinois University Carbondale
Our Industrial Technology program is one of the largest in the nation and is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (formerly known as The National Association of Industrial Technology). The faculty is made up of highly qualified personnel with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Faculty members keep current by attending seminars, conducting research, and other activities. The campus facilities include laboratories for processes work, numerical control, robotics, and computers.
The off-campus program is a Bachelor of Science degree program and is equivalent to the on-campus curriculum at Carbondale. Industrial Technology instructors are experts in the industrial field and commute to teaching locations on weekends. Their experience provide our students with first-hand knowledge and real life expectations in manufacturing and related industries. Courses are delivered on alternating weekends--21 weekends per year. The major course work can be completed in 24 months (6 semesters).
