Fire Alarm Systems

Alarm Specialist will have detailed familiarity with tools and testing equipment used to perform the testing, service and repair of fire alarm components; will have expert working knowledge of applicable fire codes and life safety standards for the occupancy, the equipment and clients served. This is a field position.
Job Specific Tasks:
Train and mentor apprentices already experienced with test/inspect and some troubleshooting.
Mentor our current LEA’s
Use strong troubleshooting skills to trace system problems.
Design and program new fire alarm systems.
Work cooperatively with authorities having jurisdiction.
Build and maintain client relationships.
Represent the company at professional meetings when requested.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Salary starts at $72,800 for the best qualified candidate.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, generally.

Alarm Specialist will have a minimum NICET 2 Certification, preferably with an LEA license and a minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarms.
Our business was established in 1983 and operated out of the family home until 1989 when we moved to our first shop at 70th and NE Glisan St. Outgrowing the 1200 sq ft space, Metro moved its 13 employees to our current location at 14324 SE Stark St. We operate out of a 10,000 sq ft building and support 24 families and growing.
