The City of Stockton's Administrative Services Department is currently recruiting for an Engineering Services Manager. The City of Stockton is looking for an Engineering Services Manager who is excited to be a key contributor to the Public Works Department’s Operation and Maintenance team. Our ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, can anticipate problems and develops pro-active maintenance systems, provides positive leadership through staff development, and fosters teamwork, strong ethics, and collaboration among staff. The incumbent in these position works a City of Stockton 9/80 schedule: Monday through Thursday, with alternating Fridays off.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in transportation, traffic, or civil engineering and seven years of professional civil, traffic, or transportation engineering experience, including two years at the lead or supervisory level. Must possess a valid California driver's license and a valid California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer. Possession of a valid California Registration as a Professional Traffic Engineer is desirable.
Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of engineering staff engaged in professional engineering activities for a variety of municipal utilities and/or public works capital improvement delivery, development review, and construction management programs; performs related work as assigned.
