We are looking for a Water Resources Engineer to join us on a full-time basis in our Emeryville office.
The Water Resources Engineer is responsible for performing hydrologic analysis, hydrodynamic modeling, surveying, creating digital terrain models, drafting, and creating technical documentation under the direction of the Senior Water Resources Engineer. The position requires exceptional problem solving skills, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication, and a desire for learning and personal development. The successful candidate will, at a minimum, have an Engineer-in-Training credential from the State of California and be actively pursuing professional licensure.
Specific Duties Might Include
Perform engineering analysis, design, and report writing tasks
Perform hydrologic, hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling
Perform field assessments, surveying, stream, and fluvial characterization
Design and develop plans, specifications and cost estimates for habitat restoration an hydraulic structures
Provide implementation oversight
Provide project and task management services
Minimum 3 years of experience in civil/hydraulic engineering or related field
EIT in the state of California (California PE preferred).
Course work and/or project experience in the following areas: open channel hydraulics, environmental river mechanics, sediment transport, fluvial and/or coastal geomorphology, coastal hydraulics, hydraulic structures, hydrology, civil design, project and construction management, surveying, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS.
Hydraulic modeling experience
Must be willing and able to travel
Bachelor’s degree in civil/hydraulic engineering or related field. MS degree preferred
Engineer-in-Training credential from the State of California and actively pursuing professional licensure
