Electrical Field Service Technician:
As an Electrical Field Service Technician with BHS North America, your primary responsibility will be troubleshooting and repairing corrugated machinery at our customer sites. You will do this by:
Traveling close to 100% of the time to provide on-site service to customers throughout North America, including Canada and Mexico.
Providing occasional on-call emergency support to our customer base.
5-10 years of previous experience working in the field in Industrial Maintenance performing electrical work is a must! Experience in the corrugated industry, or a basic knowledge of corrugated equipment is a bonus, but not required. Other areas of experience that we are seeking, include:
Work with PLC controls and programming; Siemens preferred
Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to read drawings
As a Machine Commissioner with BHS, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modernizations of BHS’ corrugated machinery at customer sites across North America. You will do this by:
Conducting functional testing, fault detection, and troubleshooting of newly installed machines.
Optimizing technically relevant parameters during commissioning and upgrades.
Instructing the customer in the proper operation and recommended maintenance of newly installed machines.
Organizing and leading teams through the commissioning and upgrade process by communicating with other departments and the customer.
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
10 years of previous experience commissioning or electrically troubleshooting a full line BHS Corrugator, or a full wet end or dry end of the corrugator.
A bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience as an industrial electrician.
Expertise in PLC software and hardware including Lenze, ABB, Siemens and Baumuller across multiple generations (S5, S7, etc)
Expertise in frequency converter, drive, and Servo control software and hardware.
Maintenance Support Technician:
As a Maintenance Support Technician, you are responsible for performing all mechanical and electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on all equipment that is included in the BHS maintenance program (M2P) at a designated customer site as well as other M2P sites across North America on an as needed basis. Your responsibilities on your designated site include:
Performing or assisting in all needed preventative and corrective maintenance works as scheduled by the M2P Supervisor including: lubrication, mechanical, and electrical work.
Completing multi-step troubleshooting on corrugated equipment.
Taking an active role in continuous improvement of the corrugator production output by:
Observing production and supporting the operating crew
Being involved in the operational process of the corrugator
Understanding the theory of the corrugator process
Learning and being able to execute basic corrugator operating skills
In your role as a Support Technician, you will additionally be required to:
Travel up to 50% of the time to other M2P sites to assist in troubleshooting, training and manpower
Analyze issues at M2P sites and report problems to management
Assist the field service team with the remote monitoring program particularly related to M2P sites
Track service notifications to ensure timely resolution of issues
5-7 years of previous experience performing electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance work is a must!
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controls, Siemens, Allen Bradley and programming drives.
