SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Advanced Engineer in Huntsville, AL to perform systems engineering (SE) function in support of Missile Defense Agency BMDS architecture concept design activities.

Support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) BMDS Architecture concept design activities, MDA functions; particularly Missile Defense Architecture designs, system engineering, analysis, and support of tactical and strategic BMC4I systems.
Perform RF spectrum management functions to influence the development of new technical standards and agency policy and procedures regarding the management of RF spectrum and associated equipment.
Support daily staff operations, staff actions, administrative reporting.
Perform RF spectrum management functions in compliance with MDA agency policy and procedures regarding the management of RF spectrum.
Review and edit documents such as Reports to Congress, Congressional Documents, briefings, generate reports, deliver briefings and provide comments on system architectures and reviews design documentation for missile defense systems.
Contribute to improvements in MDA policy, processes, and procedures for the management of MDA BMDS spectrum requirements.
Actively support and defend BMDS spectrum requirements within the appropriate U.S. and International organizations.
Promote awareness to the MDA Leadership, Product Offices, and the Armed Services on the critical need for effective spectrum management and strategic planning.
Actively monitor and evaluate spectrum allocation issues, including transfer of government spectrum to the private sector, US and international allocation issues, and spectrum usage trends by various sectors.
Monitor and report submission status of required DD Form 1494 documents that pertain to the BMDS.
Support and assist with the evaluation of BMDS development regarding the issues of spectrum management including highlighting any needs for additional focus, analysis, or testing efforts to quantify potential spectrum management problems and evaluate potential solutions.
Review spectrum related decisions and developments, that may have operational or system impacts to the BMDS mission.
Coordinate with MDA program offices and contractor integrated product teams (IPTs) during the program definition, design, and development phases.
Author, review, and edit technical documentation and presentations, and perform technical, and programmatic functions.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years Systems Engineering experience or Master’s Degree with 10 years’ experience
Experience with Missile Defense Agency, and/or Ballistic Missile Defense System Program Office Preferred
Capability to develop and present briefings related to specifications and requirements to peers and senior management-level personnel
Strong system analysis background, including systems engineering and integration responsibilities at system or component level
Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
