Design Project Coordinator - Electric Rochester Public Utilities

Nature of Work This position is directly responsible for planning and directing activities concerned with electric infrastructure design to ensure proper installation, operation, maintenance and service. Work will include the lead responsibility for coordinating these projects from inception through completion, including coordination with other utilities as well as coordination between the engineering, work planning, maintenance and construction, purchasing, stores and accounting sections within the utility.
2019 Starting salary of $69,807 to $82,126 per year, depending on qualifications, with advancement to $102,659.

Education and Experience An Associate's degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Construction Technology, Energy Technology, Industrial Technology, the electrical trades or closely related field AND three (3) years of full-time employment experience in electric infrastructure design, construction, drafting or project management
Licenses and Certifications Valid Minnesota driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications Previous employment experience in electrical design, construction, drafting or project management for an electric utility
Working knowledge of engineering fields related to facility design and construction
Additional training relating to the distribution of electric power and NESC; design guide software such as sag, voltage drop, cable pulling, guying and fuse coordination
Considerable experience with ArcGIS, Designer, SAP, AutoCAD, O-Calc, other computer software and office equipment
