A scientist is needed to design and evaluate innovative controlled environment systems that improve uniformity of conditions within greenhouses and indoor production facilities, including horticultural lighting, airflow and humidity control and develop new knowledge that leads to enhanced crop production, improved resource use efficiency, reduced operating costs and reduced occurrence of biotic and abiotic disorders in controlled environment agriculture.
Ph.D in Agricultural Engineering or Horticulture. The ideal candidate has published research related to environmental control in a variety of environments. This is a competitive, career/career-conditional appointment and U.S. citizenship is required.
