Our Water & Utilities department has a full-time opening for an experienced CAD professional to lead our Florida water/wastewater/stormwater CAD design. Responsibilities include supervising the team to ensure efficient and effective completion of CAD work; developing and pursuing the CAD/BIM departments vision; verifying compliance with company and department policies and procedures; leading QA/QC for technical CAD work; reviewing and approving staff timesheets and expense reports; providing guidance related to staff performance reviews, training requests, and conference attendance; mentoring staff and providing avenues for professional development; coordinating staff resources and workload; being the first point of contact for staff who have management-related questions. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling a minimum of nine years of relevant experience. Any of the following is acceptable: bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience; associate degree in engineering, technology, CAD technology, or related field plus 7 years of experience; OR, no degree plus 9 years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit software; supervisory duties; mentoring project staff; setting up projects in CAD software. The ideal candidate will also have experience with water or wastewater treatment plant design.
