The Technical Service Manager is responsible for developing new PVC Stabilizer to meet customers’ application needs. This position will work closely with key internal functions including R&D chemist, business management, sales team, and operation team to expand the Stabilizer product portfolio and drive sustainable business growth.
Primary responsibility is to provide technical support to North American customers, develop and match Valtris Stabilizers to their application needs.
Support business growth by establishing value propositions of Valtris Stabilizers in flexible PVC applications.
Support sales efforts by visiting customers to identify opportunities, thoroughly capture project objectives, and develop or recommend right Stabilizer products for customers.
Identify new business opportunities in alignment with Stabilizer Business strategies.
Develop technical reports and present in front of customers and at conferences to advance technical reputation of Valtris associates and Stabilizer products.
Self-starter and design proper experiments to generate data necessary for customers and conference papers.
Be able to work in the lab and understand the fundamentals of the Stabilizer technology.
Manage laboratory technicians when supporting relevant Stabilizer projects.
Understand government as well as industry regulations associated with the Stabilizer products and possible implications of those regulations.
Address customer complain by working with operation teams together through root cause analysis.
B.S. in chemistry or equivalent.
10-20 years of experience in polymer or polymer additives industry, with formulating expertise. Flexible PVC formulation experience preferred.
Strong customer facing experience to address customers’ unmet needs.
Solid understanding of polymer chemistry, polymer-additive-processing-property correlations.
Familiarity with PVC Stabilizer-related production preferred.
Advanced degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
