Valtris has inherited a rich 75-year+ history starting in 1940 with Ferro Corporation’s purchase of what is today our Walton Hills, Ohio facility to our formation as a stand-alone owned company in December, 2014. Formerly the Polymer Additives Division of Ferro Corporation, Valtris continues to be a leading provider of specialty chemicals, serving a diverse set of end markets including building and construction, packaging, consumer goods, transportation, agriculture, flavor and fragrance, and oilfield additives.
In April 2016, Valtris acquired Akcros Chemicals, based in Eccles, United Kingdom. The acquisition expanded our global presence, enhanced our technical and product development capabilities and expanded our product portfolio.
The acquisition of the ChloroToluenes and Baleycourt businesses from Ineos Enterprises in August 2018, further expanded our global reach and end market product offerings to include: flavor and fragrance, agriculture, coatings, personal care, and pharmaceuticals.
