The appointee will serve as the sub-manager directly under the CTF transformation Pipeline Manager. This position will be responsible for the direct oversight of the tobacco transformation pipeline, oversee the transformation activities of the Tobacco Transformation Technician(s), conduct the transformation and regeneration of tobacco, and assist with soybean transformation as needed.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology
Experience:
Required: Experience with cell/tissue culture, aseptic laboratory technique
Required: Knowledge about cell/tissue culture, lab management
Preferred: Knowledge of electronic lab notebooks (Benchling), project management software, genetic engineering, quality assurance, and control.
Environmental Demands:
Laboratory-based work with non-hazardous materials.
NOTES:
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full-time academic professional, grant-supported appointment renewable annually pending continued funding and satisfactory progress within the position.
