The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at North Carolina State University invites qualified applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Faculty position in the area of robotics, biosensors, and control systems engineering. Sustained population growth continues to require innovative agricultural practices including the use of affordable and efficient sensing and feedback technologies for agricultural operations. Robotics, biosensing, control and network technology in agricultural operations have grown rapidly in the last 20 years and are expected to remain among the major drivers of productivity. This is particularly true in high value crops and organic systems where hand labor is often the largest cost drive
