Job Technical Skills – Responsible for providing general oversight for construction and maintenance activities of the electric system. Specific responsibilities include supervising staff, assigning and prioritizing work, determining work schedules, and ensuring a safe and proper work environment. Participates in the coordination and supervision for assigned area during emergency outage and storm conditions during normal and off-duty hours. Consistent and reliable attendance required.
Supervises staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring employee performance, ensuring staff members are trained and cross trained, resolving conflicts, and making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations.
Projects manpower requirements and determines resource allocation within organizational unit.
Verifies all reports and records completed by assigned personnel including switching and clearance orders, customer billings, work tickets, work orders, weekly long-range project plan control forms and time sheets.
Organizes and compiles statistical data for outages, and investigates and resolves complex customer questions, problems, and/or complaints.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work policies and processes, and work practices to increase efficiency, reliability, effectiveness, and customer service.
Provides oversight for large, complex projects for area of assignment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in related field, and
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in area of assignment, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
