Geotechnical Engineer

A stable and growing 14+-year-old company, located in Tulsa, OK, is expanding our team and seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with a Professional Engineers (P.E.) license to work in a values-based team environment in our Tulsa office.  This position offers a competitive salary, a full benefits package including paid holidays, paid vacation, 401K, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, cell phone allowance, and continuing education reimbursements! Geotechnical Engineer Position Summary:

The job will require writing recommendations for building pad preparation, foundation design, retaining wall design, and pavement design based on the data from laboratory testing of soils/rock samples and in-situ data that we obtain during the drilling exploration. The Geotechnical Engineer is a key member during construction as once construction starts contractors are following the direction of the Geotechnical Engineer. We are seeking candidates with a Professional Engineer License and a minimum of five (5) years of experience.

Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

• Manage complex projects including transportation, schools, and commercial developments
• Proposal Preparation
• Preparation of Geotechnical Reports including analysis and professional opinions
• Work with our construction materials engineering group to solve problems
• Provide occasional support to drill crews
• Visit construction project sites and participate in inspection of piers
• Engage in site visits for proposals and project layout for geotechnical studies
• Provide guidance to geotechnical laboratory technicians and assist in complex testing procedures
• Work with marketing representatives in business development
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Development and coordination of field exploration
• Classification and testing of soil and rock samples
• Retaining wall design and analysis
• Forensic evaluation of distressed pavements and foundations
• Slope stability analysis

Geotechnical Engineer Requirements:

1. Professional Engineering License
2. Five (5) or more years of experience
3. Clean Motor Vehicle Record
4. Proficient in both Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
