The City of Lynchburg Public Works Department is seeking a Solid Waste Collection Manager.  Duties include day to day operations including residential , brush and bulk collection.    Managing recycling contracts, grinding operations, and the residential convenience center.  Assist with strategic planning in cooperation with the regional solid waste authority.  Work closely with solid waste enforcement team.   Make presentations and provide education to the public as needed.  The refuse team is working toward being self sustained through refuse fees.   Please go to the City job postings at www.lynchburgva.gov.  

Equivalent of education and experience to a four year degree.  Ability to obtain a CDL within one year of employmetn.
