EY-Parthenon’s Quantitative Strategies and Solutions (QS2) team works on complex and high-profile emerging technology engagements across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of highly experienced technical professionals with backgrounds in biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, health, devices/diagnostics, energy, AI/ Machine Learning, and autonomous systems, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we assess client gaps and link them to solutions from emergent and disruptive technologies; identify and source technology solutions; develop strategies and roadmaps around emerging technology; set the stage for development, adoption, and commercialization; and develop and deploy novel solutions for our clients. This role will join a team responsible for providing technical consulting and developing analytical toolsets and software across a range of different types of engagements with a focus on the application of advanced optimization projects within the government and private sectors. We are seeking someone who is motivated by technically challenging projects that require rigorous analysis and solution development based on client objectives and requirements.
The ideal candidate will be someone with technical experience who is excited to develop, implement, and scale cutting edge and robust OR solutions to a wide variety of applications.
Your key responsibilities:
Work closely with other scientific and business subject matter experts on producing state-of-the-art solutions that will enable our clients to achieve their strategic goals.
Develop bespoke optimization models as part of an analytical solution pipeline with client needs as the foundation, and leverage subject matter expertise to develop quantitative methodologies and tools to produce comprehensive solutions within the agreed quality, service commitment levels, schedules, and budgets.
Be actively involved in the daily operational activities that generally impact important components/processes of the technology function.
Gather and update necessary information and communicate to appropriate parties.
Coordinate cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks.
Mentor less experienced members of the team.

A degree in operations research, industrial/systems engineering, statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, business analytics or related data science and related industry experience.
A master’s degree and/or PhD strongly preferred.

Shipping and Logistics
Power Systems Optimization

Mixed Integer Programming
Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Experience delivering high-quality work products for clients
Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
Strong track record of applying technical skills in an industry setting
Ability to communicate complex technical subjects and results in a clear and meaningful manner to nonexperts
