Here we grow again in the Safety and Physical Security Department!! We’re looking for a Safety and Physical Security Specialist that can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is willing to work in a wide variety of situations across multiple divisions. We are looking for someone who has a team-minded attitude to perform all levels of work related to safety and physical security.
CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Job Technical Skills – Responsible for coordination and implementation of corporate safety, physical security, and business continuity of operations (COOP) programs. Specific responsibilities include ensuring organizational compliance with applicable regulations; planning and execution of training associated with safety, physical security, and COOP programs; assists with the development and implementation of departmental programs and procedures; and general coordination and oversight of budgets within the department, including analysis of operating and capital budgets and cost center reporting. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. Please note, LES is interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Coordinates physical security programs with organizational stakeholders and leadership.
Develops and implements business continuity of operations (COOP) plans and crisis management policies, procedures, and programs in coordination with emergency response.
Serves as primary liaison between internal departments, external emergency response agencies, vendors, peer utilities, etc. to ensure appropriate strategies and solutions are developed and implemented to mitigate risk.
Coordinates with Regulatory Compliance to ensure NERC/CIP regulations are met, assisting with regulatory compliance audits including audit response preparation.
Develop and propose physical security system upgrades and adjustments as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree or technical degree in area of assignment, and
Two years of related experience, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Valid driver’s license
National Incident Management System certification preferred
