Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C., headquartered in Rochester NY, with eight offices throughout NY, PA & TX, is searching for a mid-level Bridge Design Engineer to join our Structures Team within the Transportation Group.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Understanding all aspects of preparing bridge design plans and construction bid packages for NYSDOT, NYSTA and locally administered federal aid transportation projects
• Coordinates and communicates effectively with clients, sub consultants and regulatory approving agencies
• Assist with field inspections and reports for bridge and culvert inspections
• Use the Search and Destroy Methods
• Attend project kick off meetings.
• Research, understand and document jurisdictional requirements
• Develop creative and strategic design options that meet client’s goals
• Site feasibility studies as well as site and environmental analysis
• Schematic design, engineering systems coordination, site cost analysis, design development
• Specification and materials research
