Chair, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) at the University of Nevada Reno, a distinguished Carnegie R1 institution, invites applications for the position of Department Chair. This position will be at the tenured rank of Associate or Full Professor.The Department (BMB) is housed in the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources (CABNR).  BMB has 19 full-time faculty members who direct annual research expenditures exceeding two million dollars in sub-disciplines including bioinformatics, biotechnology, biochemistry, metabolic engineering, and cell signaling. Most faculty members have partial appointments with the Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station. BMB currently serves 311 undergraduate and 33 graduate students with B.S., M.S., and Ph.D.
