The Integrity BioChem R&D and Innovations Group Team’s overall goal is to create and characterize novel materials that have the potential to become commercial products. The Vice President (VP) Technology – Energy will work intimately and often with the Energy Business Unit (BU), manage a team of energy scientists, and direct projects that support the BU. In-depth technical knowledge of Oil & Gas (O&G) applications for chemicals, technical and administrative management, and communication skills will be critical to this role. VP Technology – Energy will be responsible for managing the Energy Technology Team and facilities, including lab operations, equipment maintenance, and organization. In order to support the Energy BU, the VP Technology – Energy will need to coordinate with the Energy Business Unit Leader. VP Technology – Energy will also be required to work directly with O&G customers to scope out and report on projects relating to the customer. Interfacing with the Energy BU to develop ideas for new products and new applications for current products.
Technical management of the projects developed with the Energy BU.
Technical and administrative management of the Technical Team supporting the Energy BU.
Meeting with Energy customers to scope and report out on projects.
Clear and concise communication of project results to internal and external stakeholders.
Propose new products, from development to commercialization, within defined company, industry, and regulatory parameters.
Management of the design and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Management oversight ensuring all science facilities, equipment, and supplies are in good working order.
Management of quality control parameters for raw material, intermediate, and product testing.
Work with production and engineering teams to facilitate a product going from R&D to manufacturing.
Minimum Ph.D. in Science or a M.S. in Engineering in a field relevant to the O&G industry.
15+ years in the O&G industry. With additional experience, less advanced degrees may be considered.
Project and Team management experience.
Executive level communication skills, both written and oral.
Fluency in all standard computer operations.
High level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to convey complex information with a high degree of accuracy.
