Postdoctoral position in primate genomics
Postdoctoral position in Primate Genomics The Pfeifer Lab at Arizona State University is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to study non-human primates from a biomedical and/or evolutionary perspective, supported by NIH MIRA and NSF CAREER awards. Research in the lab focuses on (i) gaining a better understanding of the molecular and genetic differences that underlie species-specific traits and heritable disease, (ii) the evolutionary processes that explain the accrual, and fate, of these differences, and (iii) the impact of these processes on genome evolution. Our work combines the development of novel genomics datasets with computational methods for evolutionary inference, and is performed in partnership with external collaborators at the primate research cen
