There are two vacancies for the position of Third Class Lineman in the Transmission & Distribution Department.  These positions are supervised by the General Line Foreman.  The present wage scale is $39.47 per hour minimum and $46.44 per hour maximum.  Future wage levels are subject to labor negotiations. DUTIES OF POSITION: Performs line clearance trimming and tree removal around distribution and transmission lines that are in close proximity to energized conductors (up to 115,000 volts). Fells trees and clears brush that grow near or in contact with live lines, in accordance with accepted safety standards and practices.  Assists line crews in clearing fallen trees and branches from energized conductors.
