Provides leadership and performs managerial, planning, and administrative work functions associated with short-term and long-term operations, repair, and maintenance of the City’s water, wastewater treatment, natural gas, electric and telecommunications utilities.  Serves as backup to Director of Utilities; fills in as primary decision-maker and contact in the absence of Director of Utilities; performs special projects and tasks; assists with strategic planning and budgeting;  performs other administrative duties as needed in support of the department and Director of Utilities.   The essential functions of the job are not limited to those listed in the job description.  The City retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.
