The Right of Way Division is responsible for managing and coordinating use of the city’s right of way (ROW). This includes construction, vending, sidewalk cafes, and other temporary uses. The division processes approximately 30,000 requests per year. The division’s responsibilities include issuing permits, reviewing engineered plans, coordinating work, planning projects, performing inspections, and enforcing city ordinances.
