We have immediate openings in the Portland, Oregon office for experienced fire alarm / suppression technicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Install, program, function test, new fire alarm and special hazard fire suppression systems.
Inspect, test, and maintain existing systems with thorough documentation.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. Ability to troubleshoot ground faults, shorts, and open circuits.
Read and interpret engineered drawings and update as-built drawings using markup software.
Daily communications with schedule coordinator, project and service managers.
Participate in the on-call rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Oregon LEA (limited-energy electrician) license or greater, or have the ability to become licensed within 6 months
Washington EL06 (limited-energy electrician) license or have the ability to become licensed within 6 months
NICET Certification (fire alarm and/or Special Hazards), or have the ability to become licensed within 6 months, pay increase with each level
Experience with Notifier, Kidde-Fenwal, Fike, Ansul, Xtralis VESDA, etc.
Experience with / or basic understanding of fire sprinkler systems operation
Basic computer skills
Clean criminal record
Must have excellent driving record with valid driver's license
